Yvonne Toy

With over 20 years of experience in business immigration law, Yvonne guides corporate clients on all aspects of immigration program development, compliance management, and strategies for global talent mobility. She leads a team of attorneys and paralegals managing high volume and complex nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for clients primarily in technology-related industries. Widely regarded as an expert in the field, Yvonne is frequently invited to speak to American Immigration Lawyers Association audiences, and she serves as faculty for several AILA online education modules.

Before, Yvonne practiced for many years at one of the largest US immigration law firms as a thought leader in EB-1 priority worker petitions and PERM Labor Certifications. She also previously served in-house for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory managing their immigration and J-1 Exchange Visitor Program.

With a passion for global affairs, Yvonne spent time in Taiwan working as a speech consultant for the Ministry of Economic Affairs on international trade issues and as an English teacher.

I’m a native San Franciscan, and my family came through Angel Island. The immigration officer heard our last name of “Choi” and made it “Toy” instead!
