Overview

The government of Ireland introduced a new 12-week timeline for the submission of Irish Residence Permits (IRP) card renewal applications. The government had previously only allowed IRP renewal applications to be submitted four weeks before the card’s expiration.

Currently, the government is processing renewal applications submitted from the week of November 30, 2022. Renewal applications submitted after this date are in the queue and will be processed accordingly.

The government of Ireland updated its timeline for accepting renewal applications for expiring IRP cards. According to the government, this timeline has been expanded to allow sufficient time for IRP renewals to be processed.
