Attorney

Job Description: Attorney
Employment Terms: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Location: San Francisco, California (Preferred)

Position Overview

The attorney assists the assigned team(s) in the review and filing of immigration casework. The attorney will closely liaise with client contacts, provide strategic legal counsel, and help manage immigration programs. Should have in-depth experience with high volume employment-based NIV and IV immigration cases, including PERM, I-140, AOS, H-1B, L-1, TN, and E visa matters. This role also requires legal research and preparation of complex written projects for immigration cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides support and leadership to assigned team(s)
  • Provide coverage for attorneys on vacation and leave of absence
  • Assist with maintenance of casework quality and consistency on the assigned team(s)
  • Evaluate cases and assist in providing case strategies and/or solutions to issues
  • Guide clients and employees through processes
  • May liaise with other attorneys or departments in the firm on projects
  • May provide supervision of other employees, as required
  • Perform legal research and prepare legal memoranda and/or legal briefs
  • Analyze facts, patterns, and complex legal issues to provide sound legal advice
  • Prepare immigration-based filings for complex case management

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience

Paralegal

Job Description: Paralegal
Employment Terms: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Location: San Francisco, California (Remote Considered)

Position Overview

The Business Immigration Paralegal will play a crucial part on the legal team(s) and be involved with petition and application drafting and other legal administrative support tasks as required. All such tasks will be undertaken in an effective & efficient manner to support positive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft petitions, complete forms, and letters. May be both nonimmigrant and/or immigrant-related petitions and applications
  • Prepare and file labor condition applications and other relevant supporting documentation
  • Review documentation to determine facts + information
  • Client communication
  • Perform all duties under close supervision of an attorney, case manager, and/or relevant leader

Position Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal within immigration law
  • Experience specifically within business immigration law is highly advantageous
  • Strong organizational & time management skills and ability to prioritize

Manager, Legal Operations & Support

Job Description: Manager, Legal Operations & Support
Employment Terms: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Location: San Francisco, California (This Is Not A Remote Position)

Position Overview

The Manager, Legal Operations & Support will play a key role in leading and managing the firm’s centralized filing process of legal immigration cases. This role requires strong attention to detail, and an individual who is process-oriented, strives for efficiency, and can suggest and implement process changes (upon approval). As the Legal Assistant team manager, you foster a collaborative environment and lead by example with a “can-do” attitude and a vision of excellence, inclusivity, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Legal Assistant (LA) Team (50%)
    • Provide guidance and mentoring to Legal Assistant Team, allocating and balancing workloads as needed to ensure that tasks are distributed equally and are completed timely
    • Proactively contribute insights and ideas to improve processes
    • Communicate information with the broader team as needed
  • Oversee, coordinate, monitor, and assist (as necessary) with completion of critical administrative tasks (50%)
    • Prepare shipping labels and various filings
    • Collect, sort, distribute or prepare mail
    • Scan, upload, and update documents to internal systems
    • May process or prepare memos, correspondence, or other documents

Position Requirements

  • Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 4 days a week
  • Full-time onsite training required for an initial 30-day period (5 days/week)
  • Preferred: 2-3 years of experience as a Paralegal within business immigration law
  • Strong organizational & time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to generate work product with considerable accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including actively listening
  • Ability to accept and adapt to feedback regarding work performance
