Overview
On March 23, 2023, the government of Denmark amended its immigration laws. The government will expand two immigration schemes, namely the Supplementary Pay Limit scheme and the Supplementary Pay Limit track under the Fast Track scheme, requiring a minimum annual salary of DKK 375,000.
Moreover, the previous requirement of 20 full-time employees on a permanent basis for Fast Track certification has been lowered to ten.
Additionally, the government will expand the Positive List for People with Higher Education and the Start-Up Denmark scheme.
Under these schemes, third-country nationals who have completed a Danish professional bachelor, master, or Ph.D. program in Denmark will be automatically granted a three-year period to work or seek jobs.
What are the Changes?
The Danish government revised immigration laws on March 23, 2023, expanding the Supplementary Pay Limit scheme and lowering the Fast Track certification requirement to ten permanent employees. In addition, the government extended the Positive List and Start-Up Denmark schemes for third-country nationals who completed their education in Denmark.
