Overview
The authorities of Taiwan introduced a new period of stay requirements and other changes to its Alien Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC) and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) procedures. The following conditions must be met to qualify for these certificates:
- Applicants for an APRC must legally reside in Taiwan for a period of at least five years with an average stay of 183 days per year.
- Dependent children under the age of 18 and spouses of APRC applicants will now be eligible to apply for residency if they have remained in Taiwan for a period of five years with an average stay of 183 days per year.
