Overview
The government of Costa Rica introduced new plans to temporarily increase the processing time for issuing biometric passports to Costa Rican nationals to 30 calendar days. Previously, these passports were issued within 15 business days. The government also announced that it may reject passport renewal applications submitted by applicants currently holding a passport that remains valid for a year or more.
