The government of Ireland added Brazil, Egypt, India, Malawi, and Morocco to its list of safe countries on July 2, 2024. As a result, asylum seekers from these countries who file for International Protection will have their applications reviewed within three months.
The safe countries list aims to expedite international protection application processing.
