Starting her career in 2000 at two international law firms, Bettina founded Offer & Mastmann in 2006, together with Gabriele. For over two decades, she has advised German and multinational employers on their personnel transfers to Germany. Together with her team, she focuses on large-scale transfer schemes that require the smooth and efficient execution of all legal steps necessary to obtain the required permits. Her clients in the automotive, IT, and chemical industries, as well as numerous relocation experts, rely on her legal expertise, deep understanding of client needs, and knowledge of the process structures associated with large-scale transfers, all complemented by her solution-oriented approach.

Bettina is a sought-after speaker on contemporary corporate immigration issues, regularly addressing HR specialists, chambers of commerce, and both national and international conferences, including the IBA’s Biennial Global Immigration Conferences. Her expertise is also recognized by local immigration agencies and the Federal Employment Agency, and she contributes to expert panels for the German Confederation of Employers’ Associations (BDA) and the Bertelsmann Stiftung. Bettina maintains ongoing communication with German lawmakers to assist in drafting new immigration legislation. Notably, she was invited to present as an expert at the parliamentary committee’s public hearings for the proposed skilled immigration law in both 2019 and 2023.

Starting her career in 2000 at an international law firm, Gabriele founded Offer & Mastmann in 2006, together with Bettina. She brings over 25 years of extensive experience in German business immigration, offering a deep understanding of the legal intricacies surrounding the employment of foreign personnel and international employee transfers to and from Germany. Her expertise encompasses corporate immigration, as well as associated social security and labor law. She also handles selected cases in nationality law for skilled migrants or within the framework of restitution under Article 116 (2) § 1 GG (Basic Law).

Gabriele’s diverse clientele includes multinational corporations across various sectors, with a particular focus on financial institutions. She collaborates closely with several internationally recognized relocation service providers. Clients value her profound legal acumen, practical insights, and unique ability to blend professionalism with a personalized approach tailored to each case.

Petra Bark

Admitted to the German Bar in 2000, Petra was among the pioneering attorneys to specialize in business immigration law in Germany. After completing her training with a prestigious international accounting and consulting firm, where she successfully developed the Corporate Immigration department, Petra went on to establish and lead the German branch office of a leading US business immigration law firm. Subsequently, she gained extensive insight into internal HR structures and processes while working with several multinational corporations.

Petra is widely recognized as an exceptional case handler, dedicated to resolving complex immigration challenges for her clients. Her talent for crafting customized corporate immigration strategies that align with the unique needs of each business has earned her a stellar reputation in the field.

In addition to her practical expertise, Petra co-authored the first comprehensive commentary on German corporate immigration law, published by C.H. Beck in 2016, with a second edition released in 2022. She has also been included in the Who’s Who Legal directory since 2019, further underscoring her standing as a leader in her area of expertise.

Anja Ewald

Anja began her career in business immigration law nearly 20 years ago with the Frankfurt office of a leading international immigration law firm and has been with our firm since 2012. She provides tailored immigration legal advice to mid-sized companies and multinational corporations across various industry sectors. Her clients appreciate her meticulous approach and ability to navigate complex cases with practical solutions.

Anja co-authored the inaugural commentary on German corporate immigration law, published by C.H. Beck in 2016, with a second edition released in 2022.

She is also co-author of the BeckOK (Beck’scher Online-Kommentar) on migration and integration law, published by Decker/Bader/Kothe.

Before joining our firm in 2022, Ivica gained extensive experience in corporate business through his work at an advisory service organization and two major corporations, where he handled project work across various legal areas, including employment and immigration law. He takes great satisfaction in assisting clients with their administrative needs at local immigration offices. He has a proven track record in managing immigration appeals at the Foreign Office and immigration courts. Additionally, he provides support to clients navigating the citizenship application process.
