State Department Updates Interview Location Requirements for Nonimmigrant Visa Applicants
On September 6, 2025, the US Department of State (DOS) announced updated guidance for Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) applicants regarding interview locations. Applicants are now required to schedule their visa interviews at a US Embassy or Consulate located in either their country of nationality or their current country of residence.
