Overview
On October 13, 2021, the Indonesian government announced that it would change restrictions on quarantine requirements for international travelers and clarify the point of entry information.
Quarantine periods will:
- Be reduced from 8 days to 5 days for travelers from countries with low COVID-19 cases
- Be increased from 8 to 14 days for travelers from countries with high COVID-19 cases
The government also confirmed that international travelers would only be permitted to enter Indonesia through the Jakarta and Manado airport.
What’s Changed?
The Indonesian government has lifted its restrictions on Indian nationals. Indian nationals will be eligible to enter Indonesia if travelers have been in India 14 days before travel to Indonesia. The quarantine period will be for five days because of India’s low COVID-19 case rate.
Looking Ahead
The government is expected to produce a list of high-risk countries in the coming weeks.
