Key Points

  • Fully vaccinated residents of Aruba may return from the Netherlands and Brazil.
  • A vaccine certificate approved by Aruba’s Public Health is required.
  • Entry requires a 14-day waiting period after the last vaccine dose.
  • PCR tests and quarantine are not required under this rule.

Overview

Effective October 8, 2021, Aruba allows fully vaccinated residents returning from the Netherlands or Brazil to enter without PCR testing or quarantine. They must present a vaccination certificate accepted by the Department of Public Health of Aruba.

To be valid, the certificate must be uploaded in PDF format on Aruba’s ED online platform, ideally as an EU Digital COVID Certificate or an equivalent document. Once approved by the government, travelers can enter Aruba without additional testing.

Travelers must wait at least 14 days after their final vaccine dose before entering. This policy applied specifically to residents returning from the Netherlands and Brazil under the COVID-19 framework.

Looking Ahead

Aruba may revise or expand its entry policies as travel volumes grow and global health standards evolve. Travelers and immigration professionals should monitor updates on the government of Aruba’s official site for future guidance.

Building flexibility into travel plans and reviewing entry documentation requirements regularly will help prevent delays or compliance issues.
