The government of Brazil announced that it will issue nationality certificates to Brazilian citizens located in Portugal under a new digital system.
As a result, Brazilian nationals will not be required to attend an in-person meeting at a consulate office in Portugal when applying for a new Brazilian nationality certificate.
The certificate will be issued with a QR code that the Portuguese authorities will then validate.
