Improved Immigration Timelines

The government of Canada aims to improve measures for tracking processing timelines for specific immigration application types. The processing timeline tool will estimate how long applicants should expect to wait before a final decision is made on their application. The tool is currently available for the following application categories:

  • Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry)
  • Provincial Nominees Program (Express Entry and non-Express Entry)
  • Federal Skilled Workers (Express Entry)
  • Quebec Skilled Workers
  • Citizenship grants
  • Citizenship certificate (proof of citizenship)
  • Spouse or common-law partner living in Canada
  • Spouse, common-law, or conjugal partner living outside of Canada
  • Parents or grandparents

The estimated timelines will be updated monthly and provide realistic and up-to-date information so foreign nationals can make travel and life plans based on an accurate timeline.
