Overview
The government of Canada extended work and study permits for Ukrainian nationals until March 31, 2024. Eligible applicants include Ukrainian nationals or family members who were approved under the Canada–Ukraine authorization for emergency travel and arrived in Canada on or before March 31, 2024.
Under these extended measures, they can apply for a new open work permit valid for up to three years, extend a current open work permit, or apply for a new study permit, subject to standard fees.
All Ukrainian temporary residents and their family members in Canada can also access free settlement services until March 31, 2025.
