Overview
The government of Malaysia will simplify the process for submitting projection requests beginning April 1, 2023. In addition, companies will receive instant insight into whether the projection request is approved. To apply for a projection, follow these steps:
- Log in to the ESD account and go to “Applications”
- Select “Projection” from the “Settings” tab on the left
- Choose the “Projection Year” and request a “New Projection” (Note: Mandatory information includes justification for the projection and numbers of local staff and foreign workers)
If a projection request was submitted before April 1, 2023, and no decision was made under the new process, companies can submit the request again.
What are the Changes?
Starting from April 1, 2023, submitting projection requests to the Malaysian government will be simpler, and companies will get immediate approval status updates.
