Key Points

  • The Philippines will require denied visa applicants to submit a new application and indicate the reason for their original denial within the form

Overview

The Philippines government will no longer allow for visa reconsideration to be submitted after a visa denial for both immigrant and non-immigrant visas has been made. This does not include Philippine Economic Zone Authority Visas.

Denied applicants will now need to submit a new application that addresses the reason for the denial and pay an additional fee. Processing times will also be longer.

If a renewal application is denied after the original visa expires, applicants must return to 9(a) status before reapplying.
