Key Points

Poland introduced additional verification measures when it comes to documents to submit for a student visa application

Overview

The government of Poland introduced additional measures to verify the creditability of student visa applications. As a result, foreign national students must provide proof and verification of holding a secondary school certificate issued by an academic university abroad.

To apply for a student visa, the applicant must:

  • Submit their high school qualifications (secondary school certificates) for approval from the relevant Polish regional education authority and a document confirming the right to admission to a Polish university
  • Documents issued within EU or OECD member states and international certificates such as the International Baccalaureate and the European Baccalaureate can be automatically recognized
