Overview
The government of Qatar and the government of Japan will implement a mutual visa exemption scheme effective April 2, 2023. As a result, holders of ordinary passports issued within either country will be permitted to travel to the other country without applying for a visa for a maximum period of 30 days for business and work activities. After 30 days, travelers are required to register with the appropriate immigration authorities.
What are the Changes?
Starting from April 2, 2023, the governments of Qatar and Japan will implement a mutual visa exemption scheme. Holders of ordinary passports from either country can travel to the other country for up to 30 days for work and business purposes without having to apply for a visa. Still, they must register with the relevant immigration authorities after this period.
