The authorities of Taiwan introduced new visa requirements for specific travelers. As a result, all visa applicants traveling from Afghanistan, Malawi, Mozambique, Pakistan, Madagascar, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to provide proof of vaccination with oral active attenuated poliovirus vaccine (OPV) or inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) within the past four weeks to one year.
This includes residents of the local countries and those who have stayed there in the past year or travelers who have been in the countries for more than four weeks.
