Key Points
- Thailand introduced changes to its Single Window for Visa and Work Permit submissions
Overview
Beginning August 1, 2023, the government of Thailand will update the timeline for renewing expiring visas. As a result, highly skilled foreign nationals will be required to apply for a new visa no later than 15 days before the expiration date of the current document.
The government will also introduce the following updates under the Single Window for Visa and Work Permit system:
- Applicants who submit forged documents will prohibit companies from using the Window for at least six months, and legal action will be taken against the foreign national applicant
- As of April 1, 2023, companies are required to change their password for the Window every six months for security purposes. The Window will no longer accept the use of abbreviations used for position tiles
