Overview
Beginning October 11, 2021, the UK government will allow fully vaccinated travelers from Nigeria to travel to England without needing to provide a pre-departure test, undertake a day eight test, or self-isolate for ten days. Travelers will still be required to book and pay for a day two test. To qualify, individuals must be:
- Vaccinated with any of the following: AstraZeneca (including Covidshield), Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen (Johnson and Johnson)
- Have completed an entire course of approved vaccines at least 14 days before arrival in England
- Prove that you have been fully vaccinated under a vaccination program and have valid proof of vaccination recognized by the British government
For individuals who have been fully vaccinated in Nigeria, the certificates with valid QR codes issued by Nigeria’s National Primary Health Care Development Agency are recognized. Unvaccinated travelers from Nigeria to England must adhere to all testing and self-isolation requirements. For more information, click here.
