Overview
The government of Turkey increased the country’s minimum wage on July 1, 2023. As a result, the gross monthly minimum wage will increase to TRY 13,414.50, with the net minimum monthly wage being set to TRY 11,402.32. The minimum salary requirements will differ based on position:
- High-level managers must be paid 6.5 times the minimum wage (TRY 87,194.25 monthly gross)
- Department managers, engineers, or architects cannot be paid under four times the minimum wage (TRY 5,300 gross per month)
- Positions requiring expertise must be paid three times the minimum wage (TRY 40,50 gross per month)
- All others (for example, sales officers and low-level marketing officers) must be paid 1.5 times the minimum wage TRY 20,121.75 gross per month)
