Overview

The government of Turkey increased the country’s minimum wage on July 1, 2023. As a result, the gross monthly minimum wage will increase to TRY 13,414.50, with the net minimum monthly wage being set to TRY 11,402.32. The minimum salary requirements will differ based on position:

  • High-level managers must be paid 6.5 times the minimum wage (TRY 87,194.25 monthly gross)
  • Department managers, engineers, or architects cannot be paid under four times the minimum wage (TRY 5,300 gross per month)
  • Positions requiring expertise must be paid three times the minimum wage (TRY 40,50 gross per month)
  • All others (for example, sales officers and low-level marketing officers) must be paid 1.5 times the minimum wage TRY 20,121.75 gross per month)

What are the Changes?

The government of Turkey will increase the country’s minimum wage on July 1, 2023. According to the government announcement, the increase results from inflation rates nationwide.
