The government of Georgia will introduce amendments to its foreign worker labor rules beginning September 1, 2023. The amendments include:
- Introducing a new intermediary company responsible for employing foreign national workers and Georgian nationals working outside the country
- Intermediary companies will be required to register with the appropriate government office before beginning any employment-related activities
- Introduction of a new e-system for local employers to register foreign national holders of work permits, residence permits, and visas with the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons for the occupied territories, Labour, Health and Social Protection of Georgia
