- Saudi Arabia launched a new online platform for submitting certain visa application types and expanded the number of categories under the Premium Residency Permit scheme
Overview
The government of Saudi Arabia launched a new online platform (KSA Visa) for foreign nationals applying for specific visa categories in 2024. The platform connects over 50 agencies, federal and regional ministries, and more. Visa categories included on this platform include work visas, Umrah (tourism) visas, and visit visas.
The government of Saudi Arabia introduced new categories under the long-term Premium Residency Permit (PRP) scheme for foreign nationals. For additional information on these categories, check here.
Several of Saudi Arabia’s consular posts will also now require foreign nationals to submit proof of a negative monkeypox test. An approved medical center must administer the test as part of the work and residence visa application process or family visa categories. This includes foreign nationals from the following countries:
- Australia, Belgium, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Poland, Turkey and the United States.
