Key Points
- Malaysia will increase visa service fees for several visa and employment pass categories beginning September 1, 2024
Overview
Starting September 1, 2024, the government of Malaysia’s MYXpats Centre will raise visa service fees as follows:
- Employment Pass: MYR 2,000 (previously MYR 800)
- Dependent Pass: MYR 500 (previously MYR 450)
- Long-term Social Visit Pass: MYR 500 (previously MYR 450)
- Professional Visit Pass: MYR 1,200 (previously MYR 800)
New services will include the Transfer of Endorsement for MYR 150 and the Cancellation of Passes and Special Passes at no cost. Fees will be waived for applicants from public universities and government institutions.
These fee adjustments reflect the MYXpats Centre’s effort to align service costs with operational expenses and ensure continued high-quality visa application processing. Introducing new services, such as the Transfer of Endorsement and eliminating fees for the Cancellation of Passes and Special Passes, aim to provide greater flexibility and support for visa holders. Notably, the waiver of fees for applicants from public universities and government institutions underscores the government’s commitment to supporting educational and public sector initiatives.
