Overview

The government of Australia will increase the duration of stay to two years for select Temporary Graduate visas (subclass 485) beginning July 1, 2023. To be eligible for the extension, candidates must possess a profession or qualification that the government has prioritized.

The Temporary Graduate visa is designed for international students who wish to reside, study and work in the country following the completion of their graduate studies.

Furthermore, the government will raise the maximum work hours limit from 40 hours per fortnight to 48 hours per fortnight. For additional information on the application process and eligibility, check here.
