On April 30, 2024, the government of Canada ended its temporary policy allowing foreign national students to work more than 20 hours per week off campus.

The government will also change the number of hours students may work off campus per week to 24 beginning in the fall of 2024.

Students with a scheduled academic break can continue working unlimited hours throughout the summer.
