Overview
The government of China will accept virtual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Card (ABTC) for ABTC holders with pre-clearance to China beginning May 1, 2023. At the same time, China continues to accept physical ABTCs from all participating APEC economies.
Virtual ABTC holders are encouraged to confirm the status of their pre-clearance to China using the ABTC pre-clearance status tracker.
What are the Changes?
The government of China announced that travelers with valid digital APEC business cards are permitted to enter the country effective May 1, 2023.
