The Chinese government will provide visa extensions to foreign nationals holding valid multi-entry ten-year visas. As a result, foreign nationals holding ten-year visas will be permitted to apply for a three-year extension to their current visa without facing additional fees. Foreign nationals holding expiring ten-year visas will be allowed to apply for a new ten-year visa at the point of expiration.

According to the government announcement, these measures will assist foreign nationals who held a ten-year visa throughout the COVID-19 pandemic but could not enter the country due to COVID-19 restrictions.
