Key Points

  • Denmark will exempt certain foreign workers from the requirement that wages be paid to a Danish bank account

Overview

The government of Denmark will exempt certain foreign workers from the requirement that wages be paid to a Danish bank account. The exceptions will include the research scheme and the fast-track scheme’s regular amount track, researcher track, education track, and short-term track.

At the same time, the government will extend the job change rule so that foreigners who change their residence without changing jobs are also covered. For example, this could be a foreigner who is currently in Denmark on a 1-year residence permit.
