  • Period of stay increased to 90 days per calendar year for Short-Term Employment Authorization (SEA) B-1 Work Visas

Overview

The Ministry of Interior, Israel released new regulations for the Short-Term Employment Authorization (SEA) B-1 Work Visas, including shortening processing time to 10 days and increasing the stay period to 90 days. These new regulations will allow Israeli and foreign companies to apply for expedited processing of requests for highly skilled foreign nationals. To be eligible for the SEA B-1 Work Visa, foreign nationals must qualify as foreign experts by having special knowledge or expertise in a field of work. Foreign nationals also must be citizens of a home country that can enter Israel without a visa for tourism.

What’s Changed?

Under these new regulations, expert foreign nationals may now remain in Israel for 90 days instead of the previously allowed 45 days.
