Overview
On May 2, 2023, the government of Latvia introduced changes to its temporary and permanent residence permit conditions. As a result, temporary residence permits will be granted for a period of five years to family members of a foreign national who hold a permanent residence permit and have completed an A2 language program in the country. These measures will enter into force on July 1, 2023.
