Overview

The government of Lithuania will launch a new document collection service on April 5, 2023. The following changes will take place:

  • Foreign nationals will be permitted to collect residence permits for Lithuania, certificates of right to reside in Lithuania as an EU citizen or a residence permit card for family members of EU citizens from a different division of the Migration Department
  • Foreigners can express their preference for collection at another department by filling out an application form or submitting it to the Migration Department’s customer service unit
  • Options for the delivery of temporary residence permits by mail. The delivery fee remains unchanged at EUR 9.99, the same as for passports or identity cards

What are the Changes?

On April 5, 2023, the government of Lithuania will launch a new document collection service.

The service will allow foreign nationals to collect different permission of stay documents at locations outside of the office where the original request was sent. Previously, these documents were only issued at the division where the application was submitted.
