Overview

The government of Malaysia introduced an online option for completing the application for Certificates of Good Conduct (SKB) as of March 14, 2023. For further information on completing the application digitally, check here. Beginning September 1, 2023, payments for SKBs will be moved online to a Cashless Payment system that will accept card payments only.

SKBs are generally required for most foreign nationals applying for study, work, and residence permits.

What are the Changes?

As of March 13, 2023, the Malaysian government implemented an online option for submitting applications for Certificates of Good Conduct (SKB). Additionally, beginning September 1, 2023, payments for SKBs will only be accepted through an online Cashless Payment system.
