The government of New Zealand will offer reimbursements to 2021 Resident Visa applicants for the costs of new health screenings that were requested but were optional. New health screening measures include medical checks and X-rays.
Over the coming weeks, the government will contact individuals who qualify for the reimbursement. Qualified individuals are required to submit a reimbursement request by September 30, 2023. Applicants must provide proof the one of the following:
- Receipt from their medical practice
- Letter or email of confirmation from the medical practice, OR
- Copy of the bank statement showing the relevant transactions.
What are the Changes?
The government of New Zealand will offer reimbursements to certain foreign nationals holding a 2021 Resident Visa who were required to pay for additional health screening measures. According to the government, these additional costs were applied as a result of a system glitch that has since been resolved.
