The government of New Zealand will increase the country’s minimum wage to NZ 22.70 per hour on April 1, 2023. The training and starting-out minimum wages will also rise to NZ 18.16 per hour, remaining at 80% of the adult minimum wage. This increases from the current minimum rate of NZ 16.96 per hour.

What are the Changes?

The government of New Zealand will increase the country’s minimum wage on April 1, 2023. According to the government, this is an increase of NZ 1.50 per hour.
