Key Points
- The United Kingdom will transition the delivery process of Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) from FedEx/TNT to the Royal Mail Group on September 18, 2023
Overview
The government of the United Kingdom will transition the delivery process of Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) from FedEx/TNT to the Royal Mail Group on September 18, 2023. According to the announcement, the service will continue similarly to the previous provider; however, the key differences are as follows:
- A signature is no longer required to receive your BRP; this will be posted through the letterbox or mailbox
- If delivery of the BRP is not possible, redelivery will need to be arranged, or the BRP can be collected from Royal Mail’s local delivery office, details of which will be provided on the ‘Something for you’ card
- Once the BRP has been produced and collected by Royal Mail for delivery, applicants can no longer change the delivery address. Therefore, applicants should ensure the correct delivery address is added to the UKVI page
