Overview

The Department of State (DOS) has released the October 2023 Visa Bulletin (VB). USCIS will use the Dates for Filing chart for employment-based categories. The updates below reflect changes in employment-based categories.

What are the Changes?

In October, there are some changes to the employment-based categories below from the September 2023 Visa Bulletin, which used the Final Action Dates chart.

EB-1
China will move ahead six months to August 1, 2022. India will advance by seven years and six months to July 1, 2019. All other countries will go from August 1, 2023, to current.

EB-2
China will advance nearly six months to January 1, 2020. India will advance by one year and four months to May 15, 2012. All other countries will move ahead six months.

EB-3
China will advance one year to September 1, 2020. India will advance three years and seven months to August 1, 2012. All other countries will advance two years and nine months to February 1, 2023
