Overview

The Department of State (DOS) has released the October 2024 Visa Bulletin. In October, USCIS will use the Dates for Filing chart for employment-based categories. The updates below reflect changes in employment-based categories.

What are the Changes?

In October 2024, most categories will see some advancement.

EB-1
India will advance two months to April 15, 2022
China will advance two months to January 1, 2023
All countries will stay the same

EB-2
China will progress seven months to October 1, 2020. India will advance by nearly six months to January 1, 2013
All countries will advance nearly five months to August 1, 2023

EB-3
India will advance by more than seven months to June 8, 2013, and China will advance by more than two months to November 15, 2020
All other countries will advance by over two years to March 1, 2023
