Key Points

  • USCIS is expanding an online platform called myProgress
  • Individuals can now track Form I-765 and Form I-131 applications through the platform
  • MyProgress can also be used to track Form N-400, Form I-130, and Form I-90 applications

Overview

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it is expanding an online platform called myProgress to include Form I-765 and Form I-131 submissions.

The myProgress platform gives applicants personalized updates on wait times through their individual accounts. Applicants will also be notified of their final case decision. USCIS notes that it strives to make wait time updates as accurate as possible, but there are some factors that it cannot account for, such as application processing speed and potential delays. Individuals must have a USCIS online account to see their personalized wait times. Using the myProgress tab for a specific application, applicants will see certain information for their applications, including:

  • Confirmation that USCIS received the application
  • Biometric services appointment updates
  • Pending case decisions

Looking Ahead

Previously, the myProgress platform allowed individuals to check the status of certain forms, including Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, and Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card. Now, applicants can also check the status of Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and Form I-131, Application for Travel Document.
