The government of Saudi Arabia will replace visa stickers on beneficiaries’ passports with electronic visas (evisa) that contain a scannable QR code. Initially, the evisa will be rolled out to nationals of the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The new procedure is part of digitizing the ministry’s consular services, including work permits, residence permits, and visit visas.
