- China reduced tourism visa application requirements for nationals of the US on January 1, 2024
On January 1, 2024, the government of China reduced specific application requirements for US nationals traveling to the country for tourism. As a result, applicants will no longer be required to submit proof of round-trip air tickets, hotel reservations, an invitation letter, or a travel itinerary.
