The government of Germany’s immigration office in Berlin introduced a new digital form for foreign national residents applying for citizenship. The new form aims to simplify the application process, reduce the application backlog, and centralize the office responsible for reviewing applications. Before this change, applicants had to apply at their local immigration office.
