The government of Iceland suspended embassy operations in Moscow, Russia, on August 1, 2023. The Iceland embassy also represented Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, which will result in all consular operations of these countries being suspended in Moscow as well.
The government stated that operations in Russia will resume once conditions permit. Iceland will also prioritize the resumption of operations of the embassy when possible.
