Key Points

  • Israel and the United States signed a reciprocity agreement, which aims to grant Israel acceptance into the US Visa Waiver Program

Overview

The governments of Israel and the United States (US) signed a reciprocity agreement, which aims to grant Israel acceptance into the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP). As part of the following steps, the reciprocity outline will be published on July 20, 2023. The reciprocity outline is one of the critical features of the VWP.

The reciprocity outline will allow any American citizen to enter Israel. Subsequently, when Israel is accepted into the program, it will enable Israeli citizens to enter the USA without a visa. This reciprocity outline will apply to all American citizens, including those with dual citizenship and those who are residents of Judea and Samaria and the Gaza Strip.

Please visit the website for all the information concerning arrangements for American-Palestinian tourists to enter Israel.

What are the Changes?

The Israeli government and the government of the US signed an agreement that aims to facilitate visa-free travel between citizens of the two countries. According to the Israeli government announcement, these measures will create stronger diplomatic bonds between the two countries.
