Overview

The government of Japan introduced visa waiver measures for nationals of Qatar holding ordinary passports on March 24, 2023. Under the visa waiver agreement, eligible individuals will be permitted to enter Japan for a maximum of 30 days for business, sightseeing, and social visits.

The visa waiver will remain valid for three years from the registration date or until the holder’s passport expires.

Qualified applicants must register with a Japanese embassy, consulate-general or consular office before departure for Japan. For additional information on the registration process and qualifications, check here.
