Key Points

  • New Zealand introduced an online application option for foreign nationals submitting permanent residence visa application types

Overview

The government of New Zealand will now allow applicants of the Permanent Resident Visa (PRV), Second or Subsequent Resident Visa (SSRV), and Variation of Travel Conditions of a Resident Visa (VOCT) to complete the process online.

According to the government, applying online reduces the need to supply physical copies of documents, including passports. Once submitted, applicants can also track their application status online. The government offers further insights into the application process here.
