The government of New Zealand introduced open work visas for foreign nationals students who held Post Study Work Visas (PSWV) and were impacted by COVID-19 due to the country’s border restrictions that came into force in March 2020.

Eligible individuals will be able to enter New Zealand between March 30, 2023, and September 29, 2023. They will have the opportunity to pursue work for 12 months from the date of their entry through a 12-month open work visa.
