Beginning February 13, 2024, the government of the United Kingdom (UK) will increase fines associated with employing and hiring foreign national workers without permission. As a result, the government will increase fines by the following:
- Employers without proper authorization to employ a foreign national employee: GBP 45,000 per unauthorized worker
- Repeat offenders: GBP 60,000 per unauthorized worker
