- The United Kingdom will increase penalty fees for employers who lack authorization to hire foreign national employees
Beginning February 13, 2024, the government of the United Kingdom (UK) will increase fines associated with employing and hiring foreign national workers without permission. As a result, the government will increase fines by the following:
- Employers without proper authorization to employ a foreign national employee: GBP 45,000 per unauthorized worker
- Repeat offenders: GBP 60,000 per unauthorized worker
